Beginner Class – (offered two times) – Saturday, 9:00-11:00 a.m., May 11, 18, June 1, 8. OR Tuesday, 6:30-8:30 p.m., June 4, 11, 18, 25. This is the foundation class you need to learn the basics of knitting. The class is meant for those people who have no experience knitting. You will be rewarded with your first hand-knit scarf! $60.
EYELET LACE SHAWL – (AVB) – Wednesday, 6:30-8:30 p.m., May 8, 15, 22. Once you’ve taken the Beginner Class (or you know how to knit and purl) you are ready to learn some new skills. Take this class and learn to make increases, decreases, yarn overs, and become more skilled at reading patterns and your stitches. Your result will be a beautiful shawl for year-round wear. $45.
BERMUDA SHAWL – (I) - Monday, 6:30-8:30 p.m., May 6, 13. Just two classes is what you need to learn the concept and skills to make this colorful, lacy shawl. If you’ve completed an Advanced Beginner class (or have done numerous projects with basic knit and purl skills) you are ready to do this shawl. You will learn how to work short rows and increases and decreases. $30.
“MAKE IT YOUR OWN” SWEATER – (I) - Monday, 6:30-8:30 p.m., June 10, 17. Have you ever wondered how you can put your own design into a sweater? This class will teach you the rules—what will work, what won’t, how to create a graph, and how to knit the design into the body of the sweater. You will make a child’s size sweater from a basic pattern, we will provide designs for both a boy’s and girl’s sweater. You must already have the skills necessary to complete a sweater. $30.
SOCKS (USING THE MAGIC LOOP METHOD) – (I) - Wednesday, 6:30-8:30 p.m., May 29, June 12, 19, 26. Ahhhh! Nothing feels better on your feet than a pair of hand-knit socks, and there are no warmer socks that you can wear. We will teach the Magic Loop Method which means one 32” long circular needle. With this method, you will be able to retire your double-pointed needles forever. Do hats, sleeves, and mittens using this method! What a great gift for yourself or someone worthy! $60.
WEEKEND CARDIGAN – (I) Thursday, 6:30-8:30 p.m., May 9, 23, June 6, 20, July 11. Join Nancy to make this new sweater design for Spring, 2013. It will be a sweater you go to often for the spring and summer months. You can choose short or long sleeves. $75.
Remember, we have a sample knit of each of the class items we are teaching. So if you want a better look at these class options, come into the store to check them out. They are always better “in person.”

Level of Experience
Beginner (B) – No experience necessary.
Advanced Beginner (AvB) – You know how to cast on, knit, purl, bind off.
Intermediate (I) – Have some experience reading a pattern, doing increases and decreases for shaping purposes.
Experienced (E) – You have done at least one garment, including finishing work, and are comfortable reading and comprehending patterns.
Proficient (P) – You have successfully completed several garments and are interested in more intricate designs and techniques

Payment is required within three days of registering to hold your place in the class.
No refunds if you cancel less than 72 hours before class.
Materials are not included in class price and must be purchased at the Kitnit. You will receive a 10% discount on your purchase.
