MAY AND JUNE CLASSES (listed by experience level)
Beginner Class – (B) Tuesdays 10-12 noon. June 22, 29, July 6, 13. For those that are truly beginners. You will learn the basics of knitting and make a scarf. $60.
Blocks of Stitches Pocketbook – (AvB) Thursdays, 6:30-8:30 p.m. May 6, 13, 20, 27. This is a great class to take for those who have completed the Beginner Class or who know how to knit and purl but want to expand their knowledge. In this class you will learn many different stitch patterns; i.e. cables, bobbles, garter stitch, ribbing, stockinette stitch, seed stitch. Then we will take it one step further and turn your swatches into a pocketbook! $60.
Fix Your Mistakes Workshop – (AvB) (offered two different times) Thursdays, 10-11:30 a.m. June 17, 24 OR Thursdays, 6:30-8:00 p.m. June 17, 24. This is a very valuable workshop for advanced beginners and beyond. Once you can fix your mistakes, you can truly relax and enjoy knitting because you don’t fear getting stuck. $23.
Hat and Fingerless Gloves – (AvB) Mondays, 6:30-8:30 p.m. May 10, 17, 24. This is a good project to do after you’ve learned to knit and purl. Advance your skills by learning to knit with circular needles and double pointed needles and knit in the round. $45.
Citron Wrap – (I) Tuesdays, 6:30-8:30 p.m. May 4, 11. Come take this short course to learn how to make an adorable scarf/shawlette. We have a unique and colorful yarn that will make it really special! $30.
Summer Vest – (I) Saturdays, 9-11 a.m. May 8, 15, 29, June 5. Great vest design for warmer weather. Expand your knowledge after taking the First Sweater class by taking this class. Learn even more about fit, stitches, and reading patterns. $60.
Prairie Boots – (I) Mondays, 6:30-8:30 p.m. June 14, 21, 28. Adorable design. These boots will look great as well as keep your feet warm and cozy. Great gift idea for those that like Uggs. $45.
Lacy-Edge Scarf/Shawlette – (I) Tuesdays, 6:30-8:30 p.m. June 22, 29. Join us for two evenings and we will show you how to make this beautiful scarf/shawlette. Great gift idea! $30.
Cropped Summer Sweater – (I) Saturdays, 9:00-11:00 a.m. June 12, 19, 26, July 17. New design! Take the chill off on a cool night or in air-conditioning or wear with a sun dress to cover those dreaded arms! If you’ve made one garment already, this is the next step for you. This sweater has an interesting four-row pattern to learn for the bottom of the garment. $60.
Magic Loop Socks – (I) Tuesdays, 10-12 noon. May 4, 11, 25, June 1. Learn to make socks with one circular needle. Using the magic loop technique can replace the use of double-pointed needles when knitting in the round. The method can be used on sleeves, hats, mittens, etc. There is no need to have any experience knitting socks. We will teach you from start to finish. Such a great portable project and gift idea! $60.
Hey Teach! Sweater – (I) Mondays, 10-12 noon. May 17, 24, June 7, 14. Popular pattern on Knitty.com. Join us to make this sweater design that is so “in” right now. If you’ve been in the First Sweater class or have done some shaping, you can make this sweater. $60.
CLASS PICTURES
Level of Experience
Beginner (B) – No experience necessary.
Advanced Beginner (AvB) – You know how to cast on, knit, purl, bind off.
Intermediate (I) – Have some experience reading a pattern, doing increases and decreases for shaping purposes.
Experienced (E) – You have done at least one garment, including finishing work, and are comfortable reading and comprehending patterns.
Proficient (P) – You have successfully completed several garments and are interested in more intricate designs and techniques

Payment is required within three days of registering to hold your place in the class.
No refunds if you cancel less than 72 hours before class.
Materials are not included in class price and must be purchased at the Kitnit. You will receive a 10% discount on your purchase.
